We are an interdisciplinary team combining music, sound art, design and carpentry. Our proposal for 48h Neukölln is SOUNA, an immersive, interdisciplinary sound sauna that playfully combines sound installation, participatory performance and architecture.
We will build a real sauna cabin from wood. It will be approx. 2m x 2m x 2m in size and be heated by a woodfired sauna oven.
4 preregistered participants will take part in a SOUNA session starting at each full hour. We wil be present for the whole time to guide through the process and provide a safer space for our participants, making sure there is sight protection and a chill out space.
We are looking for a quiet backyard that provides a water supply of some sort and maybe access to a WC, and ideally is accessible for differently abled people.
